Gervasi Vineyard – the Ultimate Romantic Getaway

This post is sponsored by Gervasi Vineyard. As always, all opinions are our own.

If you’re looking for a getaway in Ohio, there’s no better place than Gervasi Vineyard. Nestled in unassuming Canton, Ohio, Gervasi Vineyard is like a dream. Sprawling vineyards, luxury villas, four unique food & drinkeries, and world-class service – it’s one of the best weekend getaways in Ohio for those seeking the royal treatment.

Where You’ll Stay at Gervasi Vineyard

There are three types of stays at Gervasi Vineyard – villa, boutique hotel, and a farmhouse for larger groups.

The Villas at Gervasi are nestled in a lakeside courtyard and offer incredible luxury accommodations with space to spare. You’ll wake up in your own Tuscan-inspired villa, with breakfast served to you each morning.

All rooms at the Casa at Gervasi Vineyard include your own private patio.

The brand new luxury boutique hotel “The Casa” is Gervasi’s second romantic getaway option. At The Casa you’ll also have breakfast delivered each morning and beautiful waterside views from your room. You can snuggle up by your own fireplace, or lounge on your private patio by the pond.

If you’re looking to get away with larger group, Gervasi Vineyard’s Farmhouse can sleep 7-8 guests in 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. Built in 1830, it’s rustic chic charm and lakeside views will have you ready to move in ASAP.

Eat & Drink at Gervasi:

Breakfast is served to your Villa every morning. Enjoy (exceptional) meals and drinks at the Piazza, the Bistro, the Crush House, and the Still House. All of these options are walkable, along winding paths and lake or vineyard views.

  • The Bistro – offers upscale, elegant dining atmosphere and Italian cuisine. You’ll want to make your reservation at least a week prior, or several weeks prior for holidays.
    • I recommend – the GV Artisan Piatti or Seared Sea Scallops with House-Made Mushroom Ravioli. For dessert try the Gelato Tasting Trio!
  • The Piazza – patio seating where you can enjoy live music and lighter fare made to share with the same great wine, beer, and cocktails. This is the perfect place to spend an afternoon with friends, enjoying the music, exploring lakeside views, or playing a game of bocce ball.
    • I recommend – the Italian Meat & Cheese plate or Guiseppe Flatbread Pizza
  • The Crush House – contemporary & stylish dining, wine, and cocktails at very approachable prices. There are no reservations, and you can choose from indoor or outdoor seating.
    • I recommend: the Crush House Salad and Seared Salmon. For dessert, you absolutely must try one of their Affogatos (drowned gelato) like the ‘By the Campfire’ which includes peanut butter s’mores, gelato, and bourbon!
  • The Still House – Gervasi Vineyard’s own distillery with a cozy vibe made for conversation. Stop by in the morning for delicious coffees and pastries or in the afternoon and evening for spirits, artistic cocktails, and (of course) beer and wine. Their menu includes tantalizing shareables and sinfully delicious desserts.
    • I recommend – the Lover’s Plunge, which is a Rose, grapefruit, and strawberry cocktail. It’s served in a french press with a showstopper – dry ice. For shareables, you can’t beat the Bacon Wrapped Chorizo and Manchego Stuffed Dates.

We’re still dreaming about this Seared Salmon from The Crush House!

What to do at Gervasi Vineyard:

Just in case you haven’t caught on yet, Gervasi Vineyard is HUGE. There’s so much space to roam and find a private spot to enjoy a view or get lost in conversation.

You’ll spend your days strolling through the expansive, and outrageously beautiful property (you can take the wine with you!), play a game of bocce ball, share a charcuterie platter while you listen to live music on the Piazza, and watch the sunset from an adirondack by the water. Be sure to stop by the Marketplace to pick up some wine, spirits or other goodies to take home.

The Stark Parks trail runs right through Gervasi Vineyards, so you can take a walk or bring your bike along for a ride beyond the vineyards through the scenic paths.

For more structured programming, Gervasi Vineyard also offers a range of activities you can book ahead. Here are just a few:

  • Wine tours
  • Distillery tours
  • Culinary classes
  • Tasting or Pairing sessions
  • Live music on the Piazza or at the Still House
  • Yoga
  • In-room massage (for Villa or Casa guests)
