    New Orleans Bachelorette Party Itinerary

    Thursday Arrival

Your crew will likely be arriving at different times, and may be flying in after a full day of work. Because of this, I’ve always found it best to keep Thursday Bachelorette plans simple and flexible. This is not the day for any time-sensitive plans, like tours or dinner reservations.

    At First Arrival

Check in to the hotel or Airbnb.

Protip: Since you may be waiting on everyone to arrive, this is the perfect time to pick up supplies. You won’t need much because most meals and drinking will take place out of the room (or else you wouldn’t have come to New Orleans, right?!). However, it’s always a good idea to have a few things like water and snacks around. If you’re feeling ambitious, maybe pick up a bottle of champagne to get the party started!

There’s a CVS pharmacy on Decatur Street near Jackson Square, or a Walgreens and a CVS on Canal Street where you can find all these supplies. Either should be a short walk from anywhere in the French Quarter.

Dinner and Drinks at Pat O’Brien’s

    6 PM or upon arrival

They’re iconic for their hurricanes and it’s a nice, casual place to hang out. As any later arrivals join, you can send a pair to meet them at the hotel/ Airbnb so they can drop their luggage and meet you.

Pat O’Brien’s is right off Bourbon Street as well, so if you’re feeling a first night bar hop you’re in prime location.

    Friday

St. Charles Streetcar Trolly to Garden District

    11:00 AM

Wake up the crew and get dressed for brunch. Head to Canal Street to catch the Trolly. Why take the trolly over other transportation? Because it’s adorable and a way cooler way to get around with your crew. You can buy your ticket from the driver – just remember to bring exact change ($3 roundtrip).

St Charles Streetcar Trolly in New Orleans runs between the French Quarter and Garden District

    Brunch at Commander’s Palace

    11:30 AM

Commander’s Palace is a long-loved classic of New Orleans, with the perfect fancy french/ creole vibe to set off the weekend in style. What’s better? On weekday afternoons they offer 25 cent martinis!

Mani / Pedi’s at Southern Swings Nail Bar

    1:30 PM

Get your bride (and the rest of the crew) in for a little pampering! Southern Swings is a posh nail bar in the Garden District of New Orleans where your bachelorette crew can get manicures and pedicures on swings with a drink in hand.

Magazine Street Shopping and Garden District Mansions

    3:30 PM

Now that you’ve had a little pampering, save some time to walk along Magazine Street for shopping the cute boutiques. When you’re all hungry for a late lunch, make sure to stop by District Donuts for a beer and one of their famous donuts.

When you’re ready to head back, walk down Magazine Street towards Jackson Avenue and back up to St. Charles Avenue. This way you can admire the outrageously beautiful mansions along the way.

St. Charles Streetcar back to French Quarter

    5:30 PM

Take the trolly at Jackson and St. Charles Street down to the Canal Street stop. You can walk back to your Airbnb/hotel from there to drop your bags and refresh.

This will be the perfect night for matching bachelorette party shirts. Because I love a good matching shirt theme – I rounded up some really cute ones for you! Just click if you want to view or buy!

    Dinner at Cafe Amelie

    7:00 PM

It’s an adorable restaurant with fancy cocktails and great food without being overly stuffy. Ask to sit in the courtyard – it’s gorgeous! I recommend the Orange Blossom cocktail and the Chicken and Andouille Gumbo for dinner.

Have an Orange Blossom at the Cafe Amelie courtyard for your New Orleans Bachelorette Party

    Drinks on Frenchman Street

    9:00 PM

After dinner, head straight to Frenchman Street for a little bar hopping. Frenchman Street is home of live music and all-night dancing. Don’t miss The Spotted Cat, Blue Nile, or d.b.a.

    Saturday

    Breakfast at Brennan’s

    10:00 AM

Round up your bachelorette crew for a classic New Orleans breakfast at Brennan’s. Right in the French quarter with the poshest breakfast around, Brennan’s will be the best spot to treat your bride. I recommend a few orders of banana foster or cherries jubilee for the table to finish – they’re flambéed table side!

    > Click here to make reservations at Brennan’s!

    Yoga Session

    12:00 PM

Grab your yoga pants, and get your bachelorettes ready for a fun yoga session with Bride Tribe Yoga New Orleans. Bride Tribe organizes a number of different yoga experiences for your crew. Choose from a classic yoga session at a location that works for you, poolside at the Drifter Hotel, or even yoga with kittens or goats. Most packages include mimosas for the group.

If you choose poolside yoga at Drifter Hotel, it includes access to their well-known party pool and bar for the afternoon. This is a good choice for a bride who’s in for a wild time in New Orleans – as it’s a tops-optional pool party. If this sounds like a bit much for your group, go for one of the other fun yoga options and skip the pool party.

St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans

    Exploring the French Quarter

Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the French Quarter. Here are some highlights I recommend exploring along the way:

    • LaFitt’s Blacksmith Shop Bar – it’s the oldest bar in New Orleans, serving drinks since the 1700s!
    • Jackson Square and St. Louis Cathedral beautiful with lots of artists, action, and performers
    • New Orleans Historical Voodoo Museum – if you find the whole Voodoo thing intriguing
    • Carousel Bar – a classic bar nested in Hotel Monteleone with – you guessed it – a carousel for a bar
    • Cafe du Monde – a legendary beignet and coffee shop for a late afternoon pick-me-up (it’s way less crowded this time of day)
    Cafe du Monde New Orleans

When the group gets tired or it starts to roll toward 4 PM, head back to your hotel/ Airbnb to get fresh for the night out. It’s the perfect night to throw on your little black dresses while the bride wears something cute in white.

    Dinner at GW Fins

    6:00 PM

For your final dinner to celebrate the bride, head to GW Fins. It’s a sought-after destination for incredibly fresh seafood, named as one of America’s Top 20 Best Restaurants!

    > Be sure to make reservations for GW Fins in advance at this link!

    Drinks on Bourbon Street

Bourbon Street, the party of a lifetime for your New Orleans Bachelorette Party

After dinner, it’s time to take this New Orleans bachelorette party out for some legendary bar hopping on Bourbon Street. My best recommendation: don’t get stuck in one spot for long.

Bourbon Street is one of the best-known party spots in the world and there are countless fun spots to check out. Just be safe and stay together. Buddy system!
